Dueling Darling Card #4

Well here we are again...it's the 15th of the month and once again time to check out the dueling darlings...This month the Diva's received a kit from our very own Barb. This kit was plumb full of wonderful items, we received 4 Horn of Plenty Whipper Snapper images, 3 sentiments, 4 sheets of yummy Basic Grey Indian summer dsp, 4 pieces of ribbon and 1 piece of yummy variegated orange fiber, 5 felt leaves, orange gems, colored buttons, and colored brads... This month I chose the raised frame card to use for my kit (bottom pic) it is hard to see from the picture but the red and brown dsp is raised up with mounting foam. I absolutely fell in love with the red and brown dsp. The minute I opened my kit I just knew I would be using those 2 sheets for sure. I added my own dark umber card stock as the base but everything else was from my kit. As you can see I used 4 of the felt flowers to grace the edges of the frame accented by the dark brown see through buttons. I used some of the variegated fiber to weave through the button holes to give the button a little extra pizzaz...The image was colored with copic markers and then gone over with my spica glitter pens...(I love me my glitter...lol). I used pan pal pastels to color the background of the image (still learning how to play with them as you can see.) On the inside of my card, I used some of the left over red and brown dsp to mount my sentiment. I used the brown brads in the corners to tack down the beautiful fiber that I strung around the sentiment. I really like how this turned out. I still have a lot of my kit left to play with at a later date(the top picture shows how much I have left)...Thanks Barb....Oh....and the second to last thing I will be doing right now....is to let you know what I am thankful for this wonderful season....that would be "my friends", I truly think I would be lost without them. It has been a trying year and my friends have been right by my side...thank you all...

Thanks for stopping by....

My darlin friend, this card resembles a mini Renoir painting with such flair for colors as you did here.Wonderfully execute, I love that even the image background has added colors...truly a gem of a card with all elements and embellies in place and that hint of shimmer too!. Absolutly GORGEOUS!! Should, indeed, be framed!!!
