Mo's Challenge #83-Distressing
Can you believe it? I'm here two days in a row. I have a card for Mo's challenge and it's done before wednesday...(I'm making progress...lol). I colored up this little girl with her cotton candy she got when she went to the Circus...fun stuff and oh so sticky...(I know first hand)...heehee...
Once again I did my card a bit backwards. I colored my image and then picked a layout and tried to get colors to match. Sometimes this works sometimes not. I used whisper white from SU for the base of the card, the little girl and the oval that my cotton candy sweetie is mounted on. I used Ranger inks to distress the oval, (mustard seed, dusty concord, chipped sapphire and aged mahogany). I used the same colors on the tag only not as dark. I then used an embossing folder to make the dots. The image and distressed circle is mounted on "Umber" cardstock and Pacific point from SU rounds out the rest of the card. I found the little flower ribbon that is behind the image on sale somewhere. It is one piece cut in half as I thought it was a bit wide, I like how that worked out...I also used some blue rhinestones I found in a dollar bin at Michaels... to finish up the card. After thinking about it, I should have used some cotton balls tipped with color for the cotton candy....maybe next time...
Thanks for stopping by, I do appreciate it.
Until next time.
Hugs,
Carol
