Calendar Girls July 2011
Well it is that time again when our wonderful "Calendar Girls" take the monthly challenge. Our lovely, talented hostess this month is Michelle...she gave us this fun challenge.
My card for today is made with a Penny Black Sticker mounted on a black background...the paper I used for mounting feels like suede and is so different. I found it at Anchor paper a couple years ago and now wish I had gotten more...(maybe I'll find more the next time I go...lol...wish me luck). I used white shimmer paper for the base of the card...which is mounted on black as well. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the shimmer paper (I don't know the name though...sorry), and added little black pearls where the lines cross each other...Under the sticker image I added a line of SU's 1/8" basic black ribbon and of course it is rare that any card I do doesn't include glitter somewhere...this card is no exception...I added stickles to the flower just on the accent lines of the image...I hope I didn't over do it...
My pictures didn't turn out as well as I would've liked them to but for now these will have to do...sigh...I hope
that between the two pictures you are able to see the glitter...
Thanks for stopping by, if you get a chance, please go check out the other creations our lovely Calendar Girls have for you...
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
This month is a free for all....any theme! But.....there is a catch.
Our cards can be created using anything BUT a stamped image (sentiments are okay). Here is where you can get creative...examples would be punch art, stickers, embellishments, patterned paper, what ever you chose.
