Sassy Steampunk Amelia--Challenge 2
I'm a bit later posting this challenge than I would like but had a longer day at work than usual...bummer...lol...The second image I got was Steampunk Amelia. The challenge was to use a clock or gears on your card..When I saw that my thoughts immediately turned to an easel card using a clock image as the background for Amelia.
I first colored up Amelia with my copic markers and then proceeded to find my clock and cut my base. I used SU's Sense of time (retired set) for the background clock. I stamped it in black on white paper and used Tim Holtz distressed ink (pumice stone) to shade up the white clock to give it the appearance of a little wear. I mounted the clock on SU tempting turquoise paper and then mounted the whole works on umber paper. I cut out Amelia and used dimensionals to pop her up from the clock image..The beads/brads on the boots, armbands, and top were highlighted with a silver metallic pen as were the lens on the goggles..
Next I stamped, distressed and cut out 4 of the gears in the Sense of Time set...mounted two images together to make them pop up to hold the front of the card in place...the inside was distressed with the same pumice stone ink that the front of the card was....
I chose not to include a sentiment at this time as I am not sure what I am going to use the card for but I kind of like how it turned out...
I hope you liked my take on this challenge/..
Thank you for stopping by I do appreciate it..
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
