October DDD Challenge

This month our hostess for both teams was Melina...as she is solo, this month she issued 2 challenges one for the Dazzlers and one for the Divas....here is the Diva Challenge.

For the Divas team:

Your challenge is to make a card with the theme of Animals and include a button somewhere on your creation. Since Kelly is such an animal lover and buttons find their way on to her cards a lot . I will be sending out a PM to all of you including Kelly with this theme challenge idea. But, Kelly will not know about the "leader in mind" bit.
The extra thing I ask of you for October is that you all mail your cards to Kelly. PLEASE DON'T MAIL THEM BEFORE THE 15TH OF OCTOBER. I don't want her finding out what's going on before she sees the blog posts!
That being said, in your blog posts for October 15th, please mention something about your DDD leader and how this is a big 'ole surprise for her and how she is going to be getting happy mail. That is the reveal of the secret......the day you post your DDD card.
Now, feel free to include any goodies you would like to send Kelly inside your card like ribbon or buttons, etc. But you don't have to include anything else but your card. This is just an appreciation kind of thing.
I will be asking the Dazzlers to do the same thing for Jeanette with a different theme in mind.

Now first off I just wanna say....WOOHOO Kelly and Jeanette...two wonderful, kind, understanding and amazing friends and crafters. I am blessed that they asked me to join this swap way back in the beginning and I have to say...(I'm sure glad I got a blog so I could participate). It has been one of the best choices I have made in my life.

Our leader Kelly, is so busy, yet she always makes time to stop by our blogs and leave love, she makes sure we always have the information we need and is always there for us no matter how busy she is. I ♥ Kelly...and am blessed to call her my friend...

So here is my card:

As everyone knows I LOVE Mo Manning images and this little girl LOVES her pup (as much as our Kelly loves hers)....I had to of course add some of my signature glittah and did so with the silver button and the ruffle on this little glass skirt is decorated with blue glitter to make sure everyone knew it was a ruffle.

Here is the inside of my card...I had hoped to make this old dsp look like a quilt that the dog was laying on....but as you can tell I went a different direction totally....sigh...

Anyway, Kelly and Jeanette I thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting this wonderful group and keeping it together...this is my happy spot....:)..(Kelly some happy mail will be winging your way soon!)
