October 2015 DDD Falling into Friendships

I am late posting this month and am sorry for that. Been a crazy, busy few months however, here I am. I finally made it...

This month our amazing hostesses were Debbie for the Darlings and Judy for the Divas. Judy sent us a kit chock full of goodies...

Debbie and I have chosen the theme “Falling Into New Friendships” for our October 2015 duel. The theme is to welcome new team members, Suzi with the Divas and Tracie and Shelly with the Dazzlers.

I kept looking at my kit and wondering how I was going to try and create something a little different. First I thought color the tree....but that didn't really strike my fancy so I decided to use some of the fun embellies Judy sent.... Here is the front of my card...

 

I used SU soft suede for the base of my card and basic black. I only used one of the beautiful dsp's Judy sent. I do love it and all the rest of them as well. I used some of the sequins to accent the image and a ribbon to finish it off. I thought that I could add a happy birthday or saying of some sort on the bottom of the card...now here is the inside.

 

I used the little tree Judy had cut up along with some of the smaller leaves to create the inside as well as some twine and the leaf brad.
