DDD October 2017 "Halloween"
Hi All, it is once again the 15th of the month and we are once again dueling. The fearless leaders of the dueling groups are: Terry L for the dazzlers and Tami P for the divas. I am one of the divas so I received an awesome kit from Tami. The wonderful kit included an image from Red Rubber Designs "Delightfully Spooky" and two sentiments as well. The dsp was from Tami's stash as well as the embellishments (just to insert a note here: YAY Tami ..she has been on a mission to pull from her stash for quite some time and she has done an excellent job of it with our kits). There is no special extra challenge this month (good thing as I usually seem to miss that part in my creating mode. :( ).
I enjoyed playing with this kit and as usual wanted to come up with something that would use most of the dsp. I found a layout on pinterest from Operation Write Home it is the sketch challenge #83. Much to my delight it used 5 strips of paper on the front panel. Walla, 5 of the 6 dsp on the front of the card. I did change the shape of the image and moved it from the right to the left, but it still is similar to the sketch.
Here is my card:

I colored the cute little witch with my copic markers and used Tami's pretty green ribbon on top of the bottom piece of cardstock. I mounted the happy halloween saying on a scrap of the paper taken off one of the strips of dsp I used for my layout.
On the inside I mounted the other saying on a scrap of one of the panels and I then cut the other scraps into 1x1 pieces and then in a diagonal to place little corners on the paper to finish off the inside.
I'm not much of a Halloween card sender however, I do have a friend who LOVES Halloween. I was telling her about a cute sign I had seen at Michaels and since she is a safety director she said she had to have it....I am going to send her the little sign:
along with my card as a little Halloween treat.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I do appreciate it. Please stop by the duelers blogs on my sidebar and see what they have created. I am sure you will not be disappointed.
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
