DDD June theme. Everythings Coming Up Roses
This month Shelly and I were the hostesses for the DDD group. Since the Rose is the flower for the month of June we decided on the theme everythings coming up roses. I had to purchase a new laptop so I m late in posting as I had to figure out how to use it.
Here is what I sent my teammates:
Since is traditionally a Rose month, we decided to make our theme Everything's Coming up Roses. Your kits included dsp from JoAnns American Crafts and the glitter paper not sure what the company it is. The rose images all came from a set I purchased on Wish.com and didn't have any kind of name or company name on it. I have a rose from Gina K in there as well and I wrote her name on those images. The roses are from recollections and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash. Since roses come in different colors please color your rose in your favorite rose color that you either like to receive or send. Please also, let us know what your all time favorite color of rose is. (if different from the rose color on your card). I have attached meanings of each color if you are interested....
Red I love you, passion, respect courage pale pink grace, admiration , elegance deep pink gratitude, refinement, appreciation orange fascination, passion, desire, pride coral desire, fascination peach believe me, modesty, sweetness yellow joy, happiness, caring, true friendship white innocence, purity, loyalty burgundy undying love, unconscious beauty lavender love at first sight, enchantment
Since Yellow is my favorite color of rose I tried to make the kits a neutral color so that everyone could make their cards with their favorite rose color. My vision for my card was much nicer in my head than it turned out in real life. I colored my Gina K roses with copics and used crystal effects on the jar to make it look like real glass. For the background of the image I crumpled up some plastic wrap and tapped it on a yellow ink pad and then tapped it over the image, it is subtle but I kind of like how it turned out. Here is my card:
