Hot Mess = Success Jan 2024


             


Hi all it is already  new year. Time flies by so fast.  Didn't get my Christmas cards done this year so I have a start on next year. I started with a beautiful shimmery design but it involved die cutting. I had all my paper and quite quickly discovered it had a thin layer of cardboard on the back. Both of the papers were too thick for the die cutting.. After 2 cards I was done poking out all the little pieces by hand and found a new design. I was also die cutting with this design but the paper was thinner. Although not all the pieces came out, way more did than on the first card. I had the little pieces all over me, the table and them floor. BIG MESS.....YES!!!!! I used a black base a plaid layer, red washing tape and a red shimmer paper for the bow.

I am a wife a mom of two adult girls and a grandma to 3 wonderful girls and 2 fun active boys. They are the lights of my life, I am also a papercrafter. I love making cards and trying out new ideas and techniques. I dabble in other crafts as well. I crochet blankets, hats and dresses as well as other items to donate to the premie project and try my hand at anything that looks fun. Not necessarily successfully but I do try. Needless to say I am busy. I work full time, spend time with the family and craft when I can. Life is good and God has blessed me. For that I am truly thankful.

Such a pretty border on the base of your focal panel Carol, it makes for a stunning card mounted over the black.
