April Mystery Image Card

Well we can finally post our mystery cards and of course I forgot....lol...seems to be the story of my life...fortunately I visited Tami and Barb's blogs and saw their adorable creations and remembered I made a card with the same image...(I probably should have scheduled my post but that of course would have forced me to be more organized and well.....it is what it is....lol....)...One of these days though....

Tami sent us these adorable images along with some dsp and some tickets...How fun and it also posed a bit of a challenge for me.....I didn't want to cut anything apart until I was sure that is the direction I was going to go with the card...once cut....no more making any mistakes...I used crystal effects on the dots on the umbrella and blue stickles to mimic rain falling from the sky. I love this image and just had to make red shiny boots as well. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the ticket was the movie "Singing in the Rain" so of course I attempted to print that on my "movie ticket"...I had fun with this card...It didn't quite come out like my mind envisioned but all in all I like how it turned out...

I am a wife a mom of two adult girls and a grandma to 3 wonderful girls and 2 fun active boys. They are the lights of my life, I am also a papercrafter. I love making cards and trying out new ideas and techniques. I dabble in other crafts as well. I crochet blankets, hats and dresses as well as other items to donate to the premie project and try my hand at anything that looks fun. Not necessarily successfully but I do try. Awww....too cute!! Why didn't I think of using the dp this way?? Wonderful card. Your coloring of the image is amazing and I love, love, love, the added raindrops and CB embossing.

I love this card! It is so cute. The circle embossing is just perfect and goes with the umbrella dots. There is a lot of texture on the card and the panels were a great use of the DP.

Carol, this adorable card is totally the cat's meaw! sooo cute indeed...I absolutly like the color combos U chose and how clever to actually add the 'sparklin rain'!! Awesome card...I sure hope to be one of the lucky recipients!! :o)

Oh Carol, how I have missed your blog! For some reason, yours doensn't show up on my sidebar so I keep seeing no updates and here you are with this lil cutie! LOVE this!
