SOTC- October card
Hi all, for October our awesome hostess was Kadie. She did a special surprise for all of us and what a fun idea it was. We all got surprise themes in the mail and were to keep them secret until Nov 1. My theme was...."One Enchanted Evening". I love glitter (surprise) and so doing these kinds of cards is right up my alley.
I chose to use black stickles to color this lovely ladies dress and added some glitter to the bubbles in her glass. The coloring around the whole image is done with pan pal chalks and until I took the picture it didn't look to me like a 3 year old had applied it. (back to the drawing board the next time I use them). I cut an oval from my black glitter dsp and mounted the dsp over the image that was stamped on white card stock. I then mounted the whole image/dsp to gold card stock since the bubbly had some gold tones. I found an old roll of gold ribbon I got from Michaels a few years ago and tied a bow....I them put a pearl brad over the center of the bow to give it a little extra pop. I left the inside blank (with the exception of a couple red shiny hearts).
Thanks for stopping by. I do believe the card looks better in real life but I did learn a lesson from this experience...
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
