DDD June 2013 challenge
Guess what time it is??...you got it. It is time to get our duel on. This month Melina and I were the challenge leaders. Melina came up with our theme "Sunshine and Flip Flops". With summer vacation beginning...how appropriate right?. The only problem here was every time I would go out shopping I would pick something up for the kits and set them aside...well when it came time to put the kits together.....I forgot about a couple things I had purchased...fortunately, I found them and got to tuck them in last minute...
For the kit this month I gave the Divas a choice of 2 images. One young lady and one older lady. The young lady is from the Anya series at The Greeting Farm and the older lady is "Ethel" from rubbernecker. I also included a couple sentiments that could be used if they chose. (I chose to use a different one and you will see why in a minute). Guess who I chose to use???????
If you guessed Ethel you were right...I can so identify with her...lol
I chose to use a yellow sunshine color for the base. (The same color I die cut the sun that Ethel is right up against, she's tanning)...It also was used to mount the dsp on as well. The sunglasses and flip flops I found in my travels and the ribbon was from my stash. The red rhinestones are from recollections.
The inside holds the sentiment as well as some of the leftover dsp from the front.....
Don't ya just love this sentiment...it is also from rubbernecker. I just couldn't pass it up. lol
Thanks so much for stopping by. Please stop by and check out the Divas and Dazzlers...I am sure you won't be disappointed...
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
