Third Card Kit
I received my third card kit from Barb on Monday. Barb knows me...she sent me a beautiful black and white kit...fun, fun, fun....I just had to dig into it asap. The kit was full of goodies. Images: Gina K Time, Tim Holtz Life's possibilities. PTI text style Black & white basics...black & white bakers twine, black glitter ribbon, black moonstitch, black thing grossgrain and black satin ribbon. Also, included were black & white brads, black buttons and black crystals. I created two cards from this kit but have plenty more things left over I could easily make at least 3-4 more cards.
Here is my first card....
I cut up a couple sheets of the smaller sized dsp and mounted it on white paper and then stuck it at a diagonal pattern onto the black base. (I got a beautiful card for my birthday that used this kind of background). I mounted the image onto a black nestie (you can't see it too well) and then mounted everything on the background. I made a little flower for the front from the black thin ribbon and used a white brad for the center.
Here is the inside:
The sentiment is on a piece of black folded over and can be removed from the card and used for a book mark. This was a fun card to do...
Here is my second card:
The black and white looks more brown but it is black and white. While sitting at work I decided the clock image should be on a round easel card....As you can see, I used two of the dsp pieces to create the front. I also put glitter on the watch, the roman numerals, the hands and the little timer at the bottom as well as the fob at the top.
Here is the inside:
I love this saying. as you can see I buffed it up with a little distress ink (like the watch on the front)., cut out the sentiment and mounted it on dsp. I then took the glitter ribbon and made a small bow to hold the front up and finished it with 3 black crystals. Barb I hope you like what I did with your awesome kit...thanks so much.
Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
