Mo's Challenge #100---Celebrate!!!
Woohoo, Mo's challenge team has reached challenge #100...and I'm in time to join in on the fun. The theme for this challenge is Celebrate and wow are they celebrating...lots of good prizes and tons of amazing inspiration...I thought about this for quite awhile and had colored 4 images up...during the course of my thinking...heehee...I finally chose this Bride and Groom image to showcase on my card...Now who doesn't love a wedding celebration and as some of you remember my early summer was spent preparing for my nieces wedding...now on to my own dear daughters....Last weekend in fact we went out wedding dress shopping for her and found the perfect dress....and it is BEAUTIFUL...
For those who know me, I would venture to say if asked what my favorite color combo is the answer would be hands down "black and white" and of course my favorite embellishment would be, hands down "glitter"...Well I married..heehee these two favorites together to pull my "celebration" card together.. I made an easel card with the lattice rectangle nestie and used some scrap black velvet swirled dsp along with black and white glitter paper..
This is the card closed...you can kind of tell that the image is mounted on white on white glitter paper and then mounted on black then white glitter paper. I popped up the image and the base that it is sitting on with mounting tape. The lovely bride has irridescent glitter on her dress, veil, shoes and ring finger and as you would imagine the groom is probably wearing some glittler just from holding his lovely bride...heehee..
For the base holding the easel card in the upright position I used a beautiful black glitter ribbon for the center and then flanked it with pearl trimmed rosette lace/ribbon I purchased at one of the local sewing stores...I was thinking of putting some ribbon on the top but decided against it as I think it would have taken away from the image...I used shimmer paper for the base of this card which kind of shows up in this picture...
I hope you enjoyed my take on the "Celebration" theme..
Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
