Mo's #53 Sketch Challenge
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was cold and dreary here so I decided to make a card for Mo's Challenge #53. I love Mo Manning's awesome digis and I chose "First Christmas" for this challenge. I also, had gone to the fall stamp convention and picked up some new toys (which I had to try out here). I saw pan pastels being demonstrated at the Bugawump booth and after much thought and consideration decided to purchase the basic colors...(I always seem to like whatever is being demonstrated and firmly believe that it looks so easy EVEN I can do it...lol not always the case. ) I used my copic markers to color this cute little one. I masked my baby and proceeded to use the pan pastels to fill in my background. Once I was ok (or as close as could be), with the background I stamped a portion of a Christmas tree over the mask to make the Christmas ornament appear to be hanging from a tree. I used crystal effects on the ornament along with some glitter to make it pop...(patience is not one of my strong suits) so before it was quite dry.....sigh....I ran it through my cuttle bug with the round nestie...effectively putting a dent in the original almost dry crystal effects. I then tried to fix that little mistake with more crystal effects...in the long run it doesn't really look all that bad, but will not be doing that again for awhile...lol... Thank you for stopping by and checking out my card....
