March Calendar Girl Challenge---

Our March challenge was hosted by the lovely Ms April...and it went something like this:.

Our March Theme

And now the moment you have been waiting for.....

Drum roll, please.....

This month's challenge:
{In another thread, we were talking about what kind of challenges we like best and that is where I got this idea}
I want you to make a birthday card based on your date of birth.
I would love you to use two parts of your birthdate and use the corresponding color and sketch challenges available on the forums.
So, my birthday is 3-8-67.....either 3, 8, or 67 would be the color challenge and either of the two remaining would be the sketch challenge.
My choices could be: 3/8, 3/67, 8/67; or the reverse of these combos for color/sketch or sketch/color.....

Clear as mud, right?? Use two parts of your birthdate and the corresponding challenge to make a birthday card!

"Our Miss March"

I personally love checking out the sketch challenges every Wednesday (I don't always play along but do use them for inspiration and guidance).  That being said...I struggled with the directions...doh...thinking that in the sketch challenge there were already at 350+ so I must have to add some of the numbers together...Nope...after reading once again...the light bulb went on...of course each of these challenges had to start with number 1...again...doh. The next challenge was finding the challenge..since my birthday is 06-15-54,,, I looked up all three numbers on both challenge forums at SCS. Well I chose color sketch #6...Rose Romance and Chocolate Chip. Not having any rose romance anything left I used rose red and chocolate chip.

I used the sketch challenge SC15 for my card as well..

I apologize for the picture it isn't the greatest but I think you get the idea. I used a Mo Manning digital of a little angel and her puppy. I think she is so sweet. I also glittered her wings...(I bet you're surprised..lol).I

I also, did the inside plain so that a sentiment could be added.

I hope you like my rendition of this challenge...if you get a chance...please stop by all the rest of the calendar girls and check out their creations...I am sure you will love them.

One last thing...I would like to wish our own "Miss February" Kelly a very happy birthday today..I hope you are having an awesome day Kelly..

Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol

Love it Carol! You know how to put together a work of art every time and I wish I could do the same! I love how you left the inside blank to add your "Happy Birthday" (or whatever you want it to say)!

Great job....and I was not one bit surprised that you used glitter!

I love it! Thank you for being a part of this awesome group and I look forward to what you create next month!!

Cute card. I like the softness and gentleness of it. I too contemplated that color combo, very pretty colors. Wonderful coloring on the image. Beautifully done.

I am such a bad friend - how could I not check in on my Carol!! I would have missed this absolutely adorable beauty of a card - so sweet and feminine and just as fresh as a lovely spring day! Love the length, it really brings the image out front. Love the whole thing :) Thank you for the birthday wishes- you are a sweet heart. Big hugs, x0x0
