Calendar Girls Challenge October 2012

Here I am FINALLY...it has been awhile once again, and I am late, late, late in posting...I am so sorry. As some of you know my daughter is getting married in a little less than 2 weeks..I am making a lot of the things for the wedding as well as helping pick up and purchase incidentals for the reception etc so life has been in very busy mode...I am hoping once the wedding is over I'll be back full force to posting and visiting my SCS sistahs and friends...

Ok back to the purpose of this post. Our dear hostess this month is the amazing Tami.....and boy did she challenge me....here is how her challenge went.

Our October Theme

We are all about the month of October! I have three little challenges for the girls this month.

It is the tenth month of the year, so please have exactly ten ( 10 ) items on your card. No more, no less! The ten items do not include your card base. Your image stamped on a piece of card stock is counted as one item.

Our due date is the 28th. So, that is going to require two ( 2 ) circles needed on each card and a minimum of eight ( 8 ) different colors.

Are you scared yet?! LOL Start taking a peek….there are a lot of different elements and colors on our cards! I am so looking forward to what you all create, as I do each month.

I love my Calendar Girls!

Tami (Miss October)

Here is my card:

The image is a Mo Manning digital and the saying I am using inside is "A little bird told me you were expecting.....Congratulations"...My sweet niece is going to have her 3rd child in April and we are all excited for her. She loves the home made cards so I had to make this one for her..

Now the challenge starts...When I first started working on this I thought I needed 10 layers....yikes...so I do have 5 for sure...the black on top of the base (soft suede), then thin woodgrain paper, my image cut out once and then the girl and bird were cut out and mounted once again, and then the fake white semi-fence...makes 5...My circles are the purple rhinestones...and the 10th element is the glitter on the window, bird and sweet girls hair...My eight colors are white, purple, black, brown, green, blonde, blue and red...sheesh...I'm not even sure if I got it all but it was fun trying..

Thanks Tami for the amazing challenge...I hope I got it all...

Stop by the other calendar girls blogs and check out their creations...I am sure you will not be disappointed...

Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
