Music in fhe Forest Swap

A little while ago I joined a "Forest" swap hosted by my wonderful friend Jeanette. She has hosted several Forest swaps and after each one is complete she starts another..We have a great group of swappers who participate each time and we pick up more awesome swappers along the way...It is a fun swap. This swap had 3 catagories, Cards with a musical theme, Card Candy and Recipes (the theme here was something you make to share with friends/company) on a 6x6 layout..

I had purchased a baby grand piano die for this swap and it came in time...however, I couldn't find it when it came time to make the cards. I searched high and low to no avail....I did find the die about two days ago, wrapped in the invoice stuck between two pieces of mail (not at all where I had looked...) so I did make my card with a piano sticker on the front. I chose to make a round easel card for this catagory....

Here is my card....
The first picture is a bit subdues but more like the card would look if the lighting was correct. The second picture has shine from the sticker and the flash but more true to color..

For my card candy catagory, I chose to gather blue sheer ribbon to make a fluffy background....I then took a piece of musical dsp and punched out some of the music notes to top the blue ribbon with.. To the backs I placed a dimensional so that the paper can be removed revealing the sticky layer and placed on a card.

For my recipe card catagory, I chose to color up a  Norman Rockwell image I purchased from Cornish Farms several years ago. I embossed the image and then colored it in. Since the image was so big I cut it out and placed it on the 6x6 card and had the recipe tucked into the piano so it could be removed and put back in.

Again, not a great picture but I think you get the general drift.

Thanks for stopping by..

Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol

I love it to pieces....and to think we (almost) made same kind of card truly affirms what we both usually say '...twins separated at birth' ...lol We both even used similar (Play On) sentiment on the outside...
