DDD Young at Heart

Hi all....wow, wow, wow am I late...I don't know where my head was this month...the 15th just flew by and totally went right over my head. YIKES.. This month our lovely hostesses were Paola for the Dazzlers and Kadie for the Divas...what a fun kit we got. Loved it. My card however did not turn out the way it looked in my head but will try another one at a later date as I have tons left to make another card...

Here is what Kadie had to say:

Hello, Divas!

Paola and I are your hostesses for February’s Duel and our theme is “Being a Kid at Heart.”
For this theme you are to use your kit to create a kid card or project.
Paola came up with the idea for you to use at least 1 heart on your card and gift it to a child in your life (family, friend, neighbor, etc). I have provided a few heart brads to help with the first requirement.
The card/project can be any occasion to suit the child that you have in mind. For this reason, I didn’t include a sentiment, but would love for you to include one that fits.

Lastly, you are invited to share what your favorite game as a kid was. Maybe it is still your favorite!
Thanks for joining in on the fun this month!
Love, Kadie

In this kit:
Stamps: Mickey/Minnie (stamped in Stazon Ink) unknown brand, The Greeting Farm Ezra (stamped in Memento Ink)
Paper: Sandy Lion Mickey Mouse, EK Success Mickey Mouse, Simple Stories Say Cheese
Embellishments: baker’s twine, red stitched ribbon and gray ribbon from SU, Creative Impressions heart brads, EK Success Mickey sticker brads, EK Success Mickey
punch cutouts, hello/smile die cuts from The Greeting Farm, Doodlebug sequins

I loved the Mickey and Minnie images and couldn't wait to put them to use. I was going to attempt a lever card but got confused with the directions I had so went with something I was sure of. I used the cute polka dot dsp and a few of the embellies. Here is the front of my card.

Here is the inside of my card. I love the little mouse cut out that Kadie sent along. Just had to use it somewhere.

As you can see, I have had a difficult time of posting my cards. One of these days I'll get it and then my computer will be changed again, Wish I was more adept to using them.

As a young girl I liked many games but I remember hop scotch, jacks, and hoola hoops as being among my favorites.

Thank you for stopping by, please stop by the other duelers and check out their creations. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol

Carol, this is so dang cute! Love how you colored up Mickey & Minnie, they are so sweet. Using a gate fold layout was a smart idea, it shows off those pretty papers. A great card for this theme.
