DDD March 2016 For the Dogs

This month I had the privilege of being the hostess for the Diva' and Shelley was the hostess for the Dazzlers. This is Shelly's first month  hosting so it has been alot of fun working with her. Here is what I posted to the Divas...

This month Shelly is the hostess for the Dazzlers and I am the hostess for the Divas. This month rather than going with the traditional St Patrick's Day holiday/theme, we searched the weird holidays for March. On the 10-13 it is Crufts--the worlds largest dog show and on the 23rd is National Puppy day.....thus leading for the theme "for the dogs". I hope you are liking your kits....as an extra bonus question....if you would like to share. Did you have a pet growing up...if so what kind and name.

My kit contains DSP : echo park--Dog Border and Puppy love--Jillibean dancing dogs and Fido Fun. --also Paper Studios multi colored paws. --The images are Whipper Snapper: Shelly Sheepdog and Good news Puppy also Bugawumps --Schnauzer (I couldn't pick so you get to...) I have included ribbons from my stash as well as some puffy paws, and glitter dog bones from Hobby Lobby. I'm hoping you have fun playing with the kit and there is enough to create with...Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with. I'm sure it will be awesome!!!

When putting my card together I did it a bit backwards. I should have had my card done earlier than today but got behind the 8 ball and life took over. I used the Shelly Sheepdog image by Whipper Snapper. ( I had so many dog choices I loved so I sent a few images to work with). Shelly the Sheepdog however, must be my favorite...lol as I always seem to use this image when working with  a dog theme. I didn't have much dog DSP but lucked out finding the papers I sent on line. I used copics to color my image and adapted SC581 sketch challenge to follow through on the card. Here is my card front  and inside :

For the extra challenge we asked everyone if they had pets when they were young if so what were they and the name. Well......my mom was a city girl and my dad a farmers son....dad loved animals mom only if they were where they were supposed to be (not in her house). Somehow my brother convinced my mom we should have a dog so our first dog was a mutt named Pokey..the dog was not in the house much (only if mom wasn't), but I am impressed to this day that she gave in and he was persistent enough to keep up the pressure to get a dog to make him one happy boy.....

If you get a chance please stop by the other duelers and check out their creations....I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Until next time...
Hugs,
Carol
