Dueling Darling Challenge

Hi all....here I am late but here none the less...lol...had a hard time last night getting my pictures to upload and I finally gave up and went to bed...I was tired and worn out and figured it was better to just give up and try again today..(trust me this was the best for all concerned). I looked at the pictures I snapped last night and just let me say.....I must have been tired they were awful. I'm a bad photographer but .....sheesh... I re-took the pics when I got home from work and they are a bit better...lol...

This month Kelly was our wonderful hostess and our theme was "being a kid at heart". Our kit was full of fun, bright colors and tons of wonderful things to play with. I swear I could have made 2 more cards with all the goodies (and will probably do that, when life settles down a bit). I had a hard time using it all but decided to do a gatefold card. I used some of the fun bright dsp for the front folds and decided to do a patchwork of sorts. We had beautiful ric-rac cut paper and I divided the two dsp's with the pretty periwinkle ric-rac. Our image was a fun Riley bouncing on a bouncy ball (like I had when I was little and did we have fun with those).

I used the new SU concord grape for a base and colored my Riley with copic markers. I took two of the bright beautiful flowers Kelly sent and folded them to make them a bit smaller to fit in the corners. I placed buttons in the bottom center of the flowers and put the small sticky brads in the center. As you all know, I rarely make a card that doesn't have SOME glitter so of course I had to add a touch of that to highlight the motion lines and of course the flower centers...lol...

The next part of the challenge was to use an item Kelly selected that reminded her of her childhood. This was a puzzle piece from a Winnie the Pooh puzzle. I was hoping to incorporate it on the front of my card but chose the inside instead.

Since it was a puzzle piece I thought the saying would tie in with it "how old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"....that my friend is a puzzling question for me...(probably "2" heehee).

Thanks for stopping by, if you get a chance stop by the other Diva and  the Dazzler blogs...you won't be disappointed...their cards are awesome..

Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol
