April Calendar Girls

Hi all, hope you have been having a good month...today I am posting my card for the April Calendar girls. For the month of April our fun and talented Terry chose to have us do a water themed card...as we all know "April showers bring May flowers". We were supposed to use a water image and also a water technique (which I failed miserably on)...I got this cute little Magnolia image and her inner tube from my sweet friend Cheryl. I colored her up with copics and mounted her on a sparkling water designer paper I picked up on sale along time ago. I of course did not think the water looked all that sparkly so I added stickles to give it more of a water and sparkly effect. I added stickles to the top of my magnolia image in the dots on her shirt and some around the waves where her tootsies are soaking...

You can't see the sparkles very well but I assure you they are there....lol...(in abundance). I used white shimmer paper for the scalloped oval background and the white panel behind the image. I used a punch to make the wave effect along the edges of the dsp behind the image as well...

I hope you liked my take on the card.....Terry I apologize for not following directions better. (I had a whole other card in mind but it didn't turn out at all when I tried to move it from my mind to paper...sigh).

Thanks for stopping by...if you have time...stop by and see the other Calendar girls' creations. I am certain you will not be disappointed...

Until next time.

Hugs,
Carol
