DDD May 2013-Making Memorie-Celebrating Moments

I think I have a pattern going here...Once again I am late in getting my card posted. Life seems to be taking over in leaps and bounds lately and everything keeps getting pushed back. I don't however want to stop crafting so will continue to post (even though I am late...:( ).. The theme this month for the wonderful Dueling Darlings was chosen by our amazing leaders...for the Diva's the wonderful Kelly and for the Dazzlers the wonderful Jeanette. The theme was Making Memories, Celebrating Moments!!

Kelly sent us the most delicious kit. Our image was  "Tessa Tassel" from Kraftin' Kimmie and sentiments from KK as well. DSP from Carta Bella "beautiful memories" ...and many embellishments to craft with. I loved it all and here is what I came up with.....
I loved the dsp and typically I chose a layout in which I can use as much as possible, however I loved this image and when I started putting the card together felt that less was more and chose to make the card simple. I used basic black for the base of the tag (which originally was going to be a bookmark) has 2 of the dsp one on the front and one on the back which of course you can't see,...I loved the polka dot dsp so I used a strip of that to back the tag and bring this sweet image to the focal point. I did however used more of the dsp on the inside of this card and used the cute little motar board to accent the sentiment.

We also, were supposed to share a memory or current moment that is happening in our lives that means alot to us. I have had several in the past year and and pinning a awesome memory down to just one would be too hard, so will share with you that my sweet little "god daughter" will be graduating in one short week. I will be going up north to help my sister with the celebrations. I am looking forward to this in a big way...family, friends and awesome food...what a great way to celebrate a milestone for a wonderful young lady....♥

I do hope you like my creation and hope you'll visit the darlings and divas if you haven't already done so. I am sure you won't be disapoointed.

Thanks for stopping by...
Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol

How special the graduate will feel when they receive this specially created, one of a kind card just for them!! When I graduated over 40 years ago, I made a scrap book of all my senior moments. Now I am getting to celebrate another senior moment in my life. LOL
