Creative Crew- March 2024 National Poultry Day March 19th

Hi all, it is the 15th of the month and the creative crew has been hard at work. This month I was the hostess and looking for a theme I don't think we had done before. I chose National Poultry Day. I had never heard of it but found it on the weird holidays when I googled it. I sent the crew a kit with Paper Studio  Country Road DSP pack. Also, the rooster image from Stampin Ups Rustic Rooster set. There were 6 sheets of each design  of the paper and there are 7 of us so I used some of the other paper in the pack for my card. I chose  to used the fractured card technique. It was a fun technique and way easier that it looks.

I used basic black for a base and the accent strips. I colored my rooster image with colored pencils and highlighted the colors with sparkle water color paints. It is hard to tell in the picture but in real life you can see it. I like the effect it created. Here is my card:

After adding the sentiment I used blue green stickles randomly on the front. (I need to practice the more).

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I do appreciate it. Please take a few minutes and stop by the other Creative Crew blogs, I'm sure you will be inspired by there creations.

Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol

I love that you made a fractured card. I have seen so many and have yet to make one! I love the colors you picked for the rooster! Love his tail feathers. Thank you for such a fun kit to play with!

What a great layout technique! I love the black accents around each square and rectangle. I also love that you used some mica watercolors over the pencils on your rooster. VERY nice!
I love the design of this card, Carol. It's a great way to show so many of the papers and the awesome rooster!

Fun card Carol. Love the layout you used to highlight that rooster.
Such a wonderful card Carol - love how you have coloured the rooster, and that technique is a great way to 'frame' the image!
