Double Duty March 2024 Use a stencil

Hi all, today is the day we post our Double Duty cards. Barb came up with idea and it involves using the same stamp set or stencil and making two
cards with 2 or more of the same thing on two cards which can be used for 2 different occasions. This month we were to use just a stencil of our choice and a sentiment if you want. I used the Sweet Spring Stencil from Altanew. I used the same background color (black surprise surprise) the same die from my stash, the same layout and the same stencil in different colors. I cut out happy birthday with the word dies for one of the cards and a different orientation. On the purple card I used white liquid pearls for the center of the little flowers. Same but different looking cards. I also left the purple flower card plain so it can have a sentiment stamped when I decide what I want to use it for. Here are my cards:

I hope you like the way these turned out. I need a little more practice with multi colored stencils but it was a fun challenge.

Thank you for stopping by. I do appreciate it. Please stop by Barb,
Jeanette and Darlene's blogs to get some great stencil ideas.

Until next time,
Hugs,

Carol

Love the stencil you chose to use, Carol, and such a great pair of cards. The black gives a great contrast, and the die cut edge is so very pretty and complements the soft stencilling beautifully

Carol, the contrast of black and the soft muted colors of your stencil-blended image result in a bold look. Very pretty cards!

These cards are so dramatic with the white die cut edges against the black! Very eye catching. I like the two different approaches to that stencil, both are so pretty. Great job as usual!
