Dueling Darlings--October Challenge

Hi all....seems like it has been FOREVER since I have posted to my blog...Life has completely taken over...we've been doing wedding things for next years wedding (my DD is getting married) and I have found some new bridal crafts that I will be trying my hand at...yikes...but that isn't what this is about....

This months hostess for the Divas is the lovely and talented Tami....the Darlings amazing hostess is Darlene. The two of these wonderful ladies got together and came up with the theme "Fall Harvest". Tami sent us a ton of fun items to work with...oh my did I have a hard time choosing what to use...The DSP was absolutely beautiful...(and there was a piece of silk bronze paper amongst the choices...you will be surprised to see what I chose...giggle). The image is from SU called sweet season..

The pictures aren't very good but will have to do for now...sorry...I colored up my image using my copics..doesn't that little guy look like he is having fun skipping along with his wagon full of pumpkins? I then used umber paper for the base and SU cherry cobbler for the accent color. I loved the dsp and didn't want to use just one on the front so decided that two would be appropriate...lol...I used the beautiful bling in the corners and mounted the red leaf brad on the image panel.

On the inside of the card I mounted two more pieces of the dsp as I just loved this as well...I didn't add any other embellies as I think it may get too thick once I mount a saying inside.

Tami, thanks so much for the great kit...(can you believe I didn't use the gorgeous glitter paper...), I have enough left over to make another card for sure... Tami also, asked us to leave a favorite fall recipe.

Mine is quite simple but yummy...

Carmel Apple Dip

1- 7-8 oz jar of marshmallow creme
1-8oz package of cream cheese softened
1 jar of carmel ice cream topping

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and dip apples in for a yummy treat..

Thanks for stopping by....if you have a chance please stop by all the other Darling's blogs...I am sure you will not be disappointed in their creations...

Until next time,
Hugs,
Carol

Such kind words Carol, thank you. You did an awesome job with this months kit!

I have a sneaking feeling that you did not use the glitter DP, as you are {as Kelly says} petting it!

I too love the image that we used....ALL of us that is!

Super job!

Love the layout of your card. I like how you offset the two different designer papers and added the bling to the corners. Beautiful coloring of your image as well. Having an apple for breakfast this morning...wish I had the ingredients for your dip! Way to go with the kit.
